The plywood I use exclusively is Baltic Birch because of it’s high quality, 9 to 13 layers without any voids, uniform grain, smooth texture and outstanding durability. The problem now is that it’s primarily produced in Russia and Finland. Now, due to the war and the constantly rising shipping costs, the prices are going even higher, Starting in June I will have to start charging for shipping.
The three lumber yards I deal with, say they expect to be out of Baltic Birch completely by July. I have no choice but to pass these increases along to my customers. I will continue to pay these crazy prices as long as I can still get the Baltic Birch. Thank you for your understanding.
